About the Workshop
The aim of the workshop is to bring together leading scholars and emerging researchers working on topics related to entrepreneurship research. We invite contributions from various interdisciplinary backgrounds, as well as theoretical, empirical, laboratory, and field-experiment-based research. This year’s workshop will focus on entrepreneurship in developed and developing economies and will be held at the Georgetown Center for Economic Research (GCER) in Washington D.C. The workshop will be followed by a policy panel on “Entrepreneurship in Developing Economies” on Thursday evening to which all participants are invited to attend.
Examples of research topics of the workshop are:
• Recent trends in entrepreneurship
• Demographic aspects of entrepreneurship
• Public policy measures to foster entrepreneurship
• The process of firm entry, growth, survival and exit
• Changing demographic implications of entrepreneurship
• Entrepreneurship and migration
• Characteristics, skills and motivation of entrepreneurs
• Decision making processes and occupational choice models
• Risk and time preferences of entrepreneurs
• Remuneration of entrepreneurs
